Image Dimensions

Postby gafguy » June 18th, 2009, 8:32 am

Hello, Cortis,

I have not made no progress in English,
but I have a question.

I've made two quizzes on my site and
I've understood that it had to be an icon
of a computer in the lower right (not
a silhouette of a person).

Thank you.

Can I put a very large image in place
of the small in the multimedia file?

I've need to show several large images
and ask questions about them, for
a project that I develop.

Thank you for your reply.

Regards,
Guy

Yes. You can change how large the final image is by setting the "Constrain multimedia width/height to ____ pixels" in the general settings of the "Quiz Settings" window. You can find the Quiz Settings window under the "File" menu.

Here is a picture of the "Quiz Settings" window:

Re: Image Dimensions - constrain

Postby ramito » January 18th, 2010, 10:37 pm

Can version 2.5.2 constrain the dimensions of .flv files? I have turned the preference on & off, tried a few numbers but the media is always the same -
and never the 320 X240 or larger that the original was. Am I going something wrong?
thanks!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You are correct, .flv files are restricted by the flash original and are not changeable by changing the dimensions in Quiz Press. Since we call them "multimedia" constraints we are implying something that is not possible (at least not yet). The size of images etc. can, of course, be manipulated. We have added this item to our update roster of things to change (we will either change the wording or the way it works). In the meantime, you can change the dimensions of your video with an external video editor (or the Flash Video Encoder -- which is part of Adobe Flash).
